Positive: Everything was excellent except for backing the car out of the drive onto a busy road. More my limited skill/nerve than anything, but I'd have prefered a bit of a turning circle. The lay-by was often available. I still cannot fathom how our hosts kept the place so warm without bankrupting themselves.Given the pitch of the ceilings and windows, I packed fleeces, blankets, thick socks etc expecting to struggle. But we could have sat around in our undies, it was so snug! Would definitely book again.
Negative: The half acre Empress bed was very comfy and like sleeping in separate beds but the mezzanine bed would have presented a risk to oldies like us who have to do sleepy nocturnal bathroom visits...low beams and a spiral staircase..only for the clear- headed and sure-footed young.
