Positive: Room 9 Clean, comfy apartment with everything we needed. It was on the ground floor at the rear with a terrace outside. There was a large car park and a safe play area which our grandson loved when he visited. We also loved the Cupola, a cafe/restaurant and visitor centre almost next door which was very convenient and had good food. The whole block had good facilities, including a nice reception area, boot room and dog wash. There was also a very nice lady manager in reception who would wander around the block/grounds chatting to the guests and ensuring they were ok. It was only a 12 minute drive to Bakewell where we have family, so was ideal and we may stay there again.
Negative: The block could be a bit noisy at times. Several times, we heard other guests coming and going during the night and also guest's dogs barking. I appreciate that is difficult to regulate, but I think the walls, ceilings etc seem quite thin. The block is on a main road to Stoney Middleton (not actually in the village itself). The road could be quite busy so am not sure whether the rooms at the front might be nosier, but we didn't hear traffic noise at the rear of the block.
