Positive: I stayed here for the Henley Royal Regatta. Was originally attending by boat but that developed an engine problem so I was looking for accommodation very last minute. This property came up and although a bit further out than i would have preferred it has turned out to be perfect. Finding it and getting in was no problem at all, with very clear instructions. The property is spacious - roomier than the pictures suggest; and spotlessly clean throughout. All the equipment looked to be brand new. Though it is self-catering the hosts left a few nibbles for my arrival, which was much appreciated. Clearly they care about everything. The cottage is an old thick-walled building and even with the really hot weather during my stay, the rooms were easy to keep cool with just blinds and strategically opened windows - no AC needed. It is only a 5-10min drive to/from Henley and, although I didn't have any time for exploring the area, the drive through some twisty and leafy country lanes revealed Bix to be set among some beautiful scenery.
Negative: This is really minor and hardly worth mentioning but the lounge area could do with a blind on the dormer windows. The property looks to have been decorated very recently so it would not surprise me if one was coming soon anyway. Also, and completely subjectively, the bed was a bit soft for my liking.
Summary: Ideal for the Henley Royal Regatta. Roomy and clean throughout. Thoroughly recommended
