Positive: Excellent breakfast, the hotel is situated close to the cathedral and the old city, where there are lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. Buses stop nearby and both the train and the bus station are very close to the hotel.
Negative: Norway is expensive, wheras bus and train are relatively cheep, Taxis are expensive. It was also winter when I was here.
Summary: Stavanger is a lovely city, both the main museum and the archaeological museum are excellent.
