Summary: **Beautiful location, but service fell short** The location is the highlight of Silver Birch—secluded, peaceful, beautiful lake views, and excellent wildlife viewing. It’s outside of town and requires driving down a dirt/gravel road, but we had no issues finding it with Google Maps. We stayed three nights during the slow season and saw only two other guests. If you want privacy and quiet, this is the place. However, there was almost *too much* privacy. We never saw a staff member during our stay, and the main building/lobby was locked all three days. The restaurant was closed due to the slow season, and there are no nearby food options, so we had to drive into town for meals. Breakfast was provided in the refrigerator, but nothing was replenished during our three-day stay, and no one proactively checked in with us. The biggest issue was running out of toilet paper with no extra roll stocked in the room. I contacted the hotel, but it took over 12 hours to receive another roll—and it arrived as we were checking out. We had to drive into town and buy our own. Overall, the setting is fantastic, but **the service did not match the price**. For a property marketed as a luxury resort, we expected a much higher level of service.
