Summary: The building itself is gorgeous. The cafe and the cafe staff as well as the doormen are very friendly and respectful. The check- in people: cold, detached, bordering on unprofessional. Did not feel Welcome. Even though I’ve been a repeat guest at Riggs l will not return. I like feeling welcomed and appreciated for being a supporter and an important part in the ecosystem. Hotel Riggs is not it. (Also, after the fact item: hotels.com let me know last night that as a VIP apparently I was supposed to be given the option of a free room upgrade, which never happened). Very disappointed. Will not go back.
