Summary: The room was clean, the staff welcoming and accommodating, the breakfast better than average. We stayed here one other time -- when our son was married in 2019. This facility was being built as a Best Western when he was at the UWRF, 2007-2011. We stayed at the Best Western in 2019, and it was exceptional. The stay this time was very nice, and I would have rated it 5 stars, except that this hotel is usually priced at a "Radisson rate." This hotel is now older than 15 years, probably, and is a little worn. The staff was very warm & welcoming, but not better than the Country Inn on the north side of town. Although we stayed after the bitter cold snap, we had a hard time getting the room into the upper 60's -- we finally set the room at the mid-70's, and it never did get above 68º. I would expect a little more for the cost of a Radisson. On the up-side, the breakfast was exceptional. It is so nice to have a hot breakfast with a variety of entrees, so I would rate the breakfast alone at a 5. So, this facility would rate a 5 for a mid-range hotel, except that is is usually priced for a luxury hotel. (We come to the area 4-5 times per year to visit family, so we always check.) This is the first time the nightly rate matched the mid-range hotels, so we stayed here. It is nice, but not THAT nice -- that's what I'm trying to say. It is what I would expect for a well-run, well-maintained Comfort Inn, Country Inn, etc.
