This 17th Century thatched cottage is full of character with antique furniture and many original features including exposed oak timbers and paviour flooring as well as modern conveniences including wifi, USB charge points and gas central heating.
The ground floor boasts a large sitting room with comfy sofas and armchairs around the inglenook fireplace. Including an on demand TV, it is the perfect space to relax after a day at the beach (6 miles) or sightseeing in Rye (3 miles). A well equipped kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine provides everything you could need to cook for the family during your stay. The vestibule has an additional fridge/freezer and tumble dryer. The large dining room with table and chairs provides ample space to enjoy your meals.
Upstairs are 3 well furnished bedrooms, including 2 double rooms and a twin room with travel cot. The cottage sleeps 6 people in total.
The cottage has a small bathroom with bath, basin and toilet on the upper floor and a downstairs shower room with shower, basin and toilet.
In keeping with the age of the property there are low beams in the upstairs bathroom, twin bedroom and rear corridor. A particular feature of this beautiful cottage is the fenced and heated outdoor swimming pool. There is a pool changing room with shower and toilet shared with the artists studio. The artist’s studio for an additional 2 people is above the garage and accessed through the pool room. It has a king size bed and views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Downstairs is a breakfast bar with tea and coffee making facilities along with fridge and the shower room with toilet, basin and shower.
The heated swimming pool and artist’s studio are available May – Mid September.
The surrounding gardens offer lots of additional space and are the perfect spot to catch some sun, relax and play or dine outside and enjoy a BBQ.
