Positive: Sue and Chris were wonderful hosts. We stayed for two nights and it was the perfect base to explore the East side of the Cherbourg peninsula. The room is beautiful and really well-appointed. Two relaxing chairs are the perfect place for a chat and a rest after a busy day and the bed was really, really comfortable. I feel the bathroom needs a special mention as it has a few touches which make it particularly special; a large shower, a dressing table with a tri-fold mirror and a hair-dryer, and a double sink! The breakfasts were delicious and had everything you could wish for… including some delicious home-made pastries. Each morning the table was beautifully laid with special touches which showed a real attention to detail and care. We visited and loved Barfleur and Saint Vaast-la-Houge whilst we were there. On our first night we managed to get the last table in a busy créperie in Sainte Mère-Église which is a short drive away. The galettes were divine!
Negative: Everything was perfect.
Summary: A perfect start to our Normandy driving tour.
