Positive: The hosts were really helpful and we were able to contact them if we needed anything. There was a fridge, kettle, microwave, TV, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Beds were very comfortable and the property was very clean. We were about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop to get public transport into Downtown Miami (combined bus and metrorail took about an hour). There was also space at the property for our rental car. We were about 10 minutes from the airport and close to the freeway which was useful for travelling outside of Miami. There were shops within 5 minutes' walk from the property, including a car hire office, a supermarket, a bar, various fast food places as well.
Negative: It was all good but we could have done with an area map - you don't neccessarily always want to refer to your phone. Perhaps an umbrella would be handy as well to cope with the really hot sunny skies and the occasional downpour! Metrorail brochure/tariff sheet would also be good. Could have done with a couple of bowls and/or plates.
Summary: Nice quiet residential area, shops nearby as well as access to public transport to downtown.
