Positive: I was very happy with my stay at the ibis Tilburg. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city and is extremely easy to reach by car from the motorway. There were always plenty of parking spaces available directly in front of the hotel. Online check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were always very friendly and available whenever needed. Communication in English was no problem at all. My room was a good size for one person, with plenty of space for luggage and a large, comfortable bed. The mattress was neither too soft nor too firm, and everything was very clean. I particularly appreciated the kettle with a selection of tea and coffee, the power sockets next to the bed, and the curtains, which made it possible to get the room completely dark at night. The bathroom was quite small but modern, very clean and well lit. The shower had good water pressure, and everything was in excellent condition. Plenty of good-quality towels were provided. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough to get some work done in the evening. I didn't book breakfast myself, but others in my group were very happy with the selection. I ate at the restaurant one evening and really enjoyed the food, and I particularly appreciated having vegan options on the menu. The lobby, bar and common areas are nicely designed and well maintained. There is an air hockey table, which was great fun, and during my stay they showed an international football match on a large TV, creating a nice atmosphere with the other guests. Overall, very good value for money and I would definitely stay here again, particularly for a longer business stay in Tilburg.
Negative: There really wasn't much I disliked. The hotel is a little outside the city centre, so the location is much more convenient if you have a car. Parking costs €10 per 24 hours, and you need to keep the QR code handy each time you enter or leave through the barrier. There was also some traffic noise and I occasionally heard people in the hallway in the morning, but nothing beyond what I would consider normal for a hotel.
