Hummingbird Cottage is a beautiful house right next to the Dupont State forest. The Dupont State Forest is perfect for horseback trail rides, mountain biking, hiking and exploring many nearby waterfalls. The cottage is a lovely setting for a romantic get away or a peaceful personal retreat. Come see the leaves change, the flowers bloom or the snow fall. Our cottage is always open.

The only place in the world to see the Blue Ghost Moths is here in the heart of the Dupont Forest. Thousands vie for limited passes to come at night in the Dupont to see the wonder of the Blue Ghost Moths, who are visible only during their mating season. No pass is needed for those staying at Hummingbird Cottage, as you are able to experience their wonder on the paths of our property.

With the underbrush clear, hiking the forest in the winter is particularly interesting as you can see so many things that are hidden in the full bounty of summer.
