Positive: We really enjoyed 4 nights in a large studio room at Hotel Cardinal. Fabulous location in the old town, right opposite the Granet Museum. Our room was on the ground floor with windows looking onto the street but was very quiet. The breakfast, served in a lovely small dining room, is plentiful with croissants, bread and jams, with fruit, cheese and yoghurt available. It is a long time since I have seen coffee served in a silver pot! Good hot shower and a very comfortable bed.

Negative: The bed has a blanket and quilt, unusual these days and they make me a bit nervous - I prefer a duvet. The bathroom wall does not extend to the ceiling with the result that everything can be heard. The tiny kitchen with a kettle and microwave could be useful if you wanted to eat breakfast in the room but we didn't use it.
