Positive: The property was clean and well equipped. It is in a good location to visit places such as Saltburn, Whitby Staithes and Runswick Bay. Our short stay was very good value for money and we would certainly return to the Railway Cottage.
Negative: A few minor criticisms: Although on Brotton Road, the property is in Carlin How, not Brotton. This is not as nice a village as Brotton with few facilities and a bit run down. The property is on a very busy road as is the parking. The shower and bathroom sink are slow to drain. Overall it is a good place to stay and the criticisms are minor.
Summary: Good value for money, clean accommodation.
