An old watermill has been transformed into a cosy house by a small lake. All restoration work was carried out with the aim of preserving the rustic character while providing comfort. The house is located in a beautiful and quiet rural area, next to a pond with water lilies.

Summary: First of all the host and communication was fabulous. Lots of very helpful local recommendations and friendly welcome. On the positive this is a quirky characterful property and is blessed with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It is in a very rural location as described which was nice. The BBQ outside is good and the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay but the kitchen and cleanliness of the property let it down a bit. We like to cook and the kitchen needs modernisation. The oven was broken and the hob is old and works but not well. The main area needs a bit of a deep clean. A short drive gets you to lovely beaches and local restaurants. We recommend the Apúlia beach and Barcelos (parking is tricky there but a beautiful town).
