Summary: We spent a week here for our anniversary and the setting is hard to beat. The resort is spotless, the lake and mountain views are postcard-perfect, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. If you want quiet, clean air, and scenery, this delivers. The tradeoff is isolation. Getting anywhere else in Switzerland means long drives on winding mountain roads, and the access road is single-lane with scheduled up/down windows, so you can’t come and go on a whim. Dining options on the mountain are limited and served at set times, which takes some planning if you have kids or a different eating schedule. Go in expecting a self-contained mountain retreat rather than a base for exploring the region, and you’ll love it. We did.
