Summary: Love Freya Farm! Unbelievably beautiful view right outside our door: green expanse, river, and mountains in the distance. Great breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room. This was the nicest--and least expensive--place we stayed at in Iceland. It is situated on a working farm run by a lovely young couple--not like staying in a hotel run by some corporation. Jon is warm and genuine, and a great conversationalist to boot. He even took us for a hike on his land which was spectacular. The Icelandic horses are so lovely. Highly recommend!
