Positive: We had a mixed experience staying here. Overall, we think this property is best suited for travelers looking for a simple B&B experience with a nice view and a great location. We had just come from a couple of accommodations where the hospitality felt very personalized and effortless, so perhaps our expectations were different. We enjoyed our stay and the scenery was lovely, but the experience wasn't quite as relaxed or guest-focused as we had hoped. The biggest highlight was definitely the view. The room has a great view of the sea that makes you feel like you're on a cruise ship. We also loved the location. It's perfectly situated between Atrani and Amalfi, and there's a shaded tunnel at Luna Rossa that makes the walk into Amalfi surprisingly easy, even on hot days (the host did not tell us about this). There are also several excellent restaurants nearby, and the property itself was clean and well maintained.
Negative: Where the experience fell a bit short for us was the rigidity of the schedule and housekeeping rules. We tend to enjoy slow, relaxed mornings on vacation, but breakfast is only offered at either 8:30 or 9:00am and housekeeping seems to operate within a fairly narrow window. On two occasions our room wasn't cleaned because we hadn't left early enough. The rule is that unless you leave the room by 11:15am it will not get cleaned. While we understand this may be how the property operates, it did create some stress and made us feel like we needed to plan our mornings around the accommodation's schedule rather than fully relax. What made it worse, was that the breakfast lady would knock on our door at 11:00am seemingly to get us out of the room and would appear frustrated when we weren’t ready to leave yet, gesturing at the list of rules. We would have preferred not to be disturbed. Communication was difficult because the staff member handling breakfast and housekeeping did not speak English. There were a few minor misunderstandings that likely could have been avoided with easier communication. The breakfast was perfectly fine but nothing particularly memorable, and the toiletries provided were extremely basic. The blowdryer is terrible. Check-in was very rushed and we didn’t feel the true hospitality like we experienced at our other accommodations in Positano and Capri.
