Positive: Franz Apartments is located in a beautiful building. The Appartement was perfectly clean, with comfortable and brand new furniture. The bathroom and shower were top notch, and the sheets and bed very comfortable. For us, it was a perfect place to stay after staying in a mountain hut for some days, and a great base to discover the beautiful nature of the Snežnik area. We did beautiful hikes with incredible views, and saw lots of wildlife (bears, chamois, wild boar, ural owl, foxes, badgers, red deer, roe deer, honey buzzard, heard raven, ...). We would really recommend visiting this beautiful region and discover its wildlife. Thank you for the very good care, and congratulations with the truly very great rooms/apartments. We also liked the very friendly personnel of the bistro, and had a nice pizza there.
Negative: We would have liked to given a perfect score, as the quality of the appartment really deserves that. However, unfortunately we were very disappointed to see all the dead animals in the hallway, including what seems to be a terrible painful trap for poaching. We do not find this decoration suitable. We believe many people visit the region exactly to discover it's very valuable wildlife, with the forest complexesnof the Slovenian/Croatian border among the best ones in Europe. People come to enjoy its nature and see wildlife. Seeing a dead badger, bear etc. in the hallway as well as trap with pins, was honestly a downer after/before days of hiking in the habitats of these beautiful animals. As we would like to really recommend Franz Apartments to family and friends who are nature and wildlife watchers, who we recommend to visit the region, we would quietly hope that the decoration could be reconsidered. We loved that our Apartment was called "Ris"/Lynx, with a beautiful image next to the door, as this species is one of the reasons we visit the region:). Also, Frans is the name of my brother, we therefore felt a connection to the Apartment already before arriving:). We hope the decoration could in the hallway could perhaps be replaced by photographs of animals and landscapes of the region, which would highlight its enormous treasures.
