Positive: A cosy cottage in a with some newly decorated rooms in a good location in a lovely village with the Coop and a few local shops and pubs just around the corner and buses to Bakewell, Buxton and Castleton. We were able to do some lovely walks directly from the cottage. Mostly we were able to park outside or a little way down the road. The sofas and beds were comfortable and heating quickly warmed the lounge although the storage heaters were useful as well. The small kitchen was very well equipped and the washing machine was useful as we were there for 11 nights. We were grateful for the complimentary, teas,coffee and a good selection of biscuits and toiletries. There was plenty of hotwater for washing and showers.
Negative: There was no furniture in the second bedroom where the bunk beds were although there was space for a small wardrobe or set of drawers. The rubbish bin outside was full and had not been emptied. The washing machine leaked from tthe front seal and looked like this was not a new issue. We had to wash a few plates and cutlery before using them.
