Positive: Potentially a great place to stay, but the unit I stayed in had a number of issues that I would not expect at this price point & the glamping staff I encountered were not interested in assisting, although all credit to the camping park night warden who did his best to resolve the problems & seemed genuinely sorry that he wasn’t successful, despite the glamping area not being his responsibility.
Negative: Potentially a great place to stay, but the unit I stayed in had a number of issues that I would not expect at this price point, the “real flame” gas fire appeared to be out of gas & only one side of the electric blanket worked, no one answered the “out of hours” phone, I saw the night warden for the caravan part of the park & he tried his best to fix the issues, but he also couldn’t raise anyone with the appropriate knowledge or access to housekeeping, but was very apologetic & seemed genuinely sorry that he wasn’t able to help, which is more than can be said for the glamping reception the following morning who just said “Oh”. The glamping receptions attitude shouldn’t have surprised me, because when we arrived at 4.30pm we were told they were just locking up for the night & had left the key in an envelope, despite advertising reception being open to 6pm, perhaps the early finish was the reason the unit wasn’t prepared properly. My partner declined the included cooked breakfast the following morning in the glamping reception area & wasn’t offered an alternative, although we later discovered other guests that declined the cooked breakfast had been offered toast.
