The self contained cottage is totally solar and is 1/2 km from the road it is very private, set on 130 acres onl 7 kms from town.The cottage sleeps up to 4 people. The house has 2 bed rooms 1 with queen bed the other with double bed.
It is a very quaint cottage with wood heater slow combustion stove plus all modern cooking facilities. There is a washing machine with soap powder provided. There is an under cover outside area with a BBQ and fire place a great spot to sit and watch the stars. .Enjoy a bush walk or watch the birds and wildlife No smoking indoors but outdoor area is adequate. Indoor pet's at owner's discretion .

Is a small country town with a backdrop of the Warrumbungle Mountains. Siding Springs Observatory the Piliga Forest, Crystal Kingdom and the,sandstone caves are just a few of the local attractions. Western Plains Zoo is a 90 minute drive away.

Summary: For once the online description really does not do justice to this wonderful cottage. Set in acres of beautiful bushland, the cottage is fantastically laid out and probably the best equipped we have ever visited. The inside is immaculate with 2 very comfortable bedrooms and a fantastic kitchen/diner/ living room. But the outside is even better. A fully fenced large garden, so no worries about your dog! Also a brilliant BBQ hut with a firepit just outside it. With the skies and stars that you see up in the Warrambungles, why would you spend your evenings inside? We certainly didn't! Wonderful location, remote but close to all amenities and the Warrumbungles National Park. The hosts are super helpful, everything worked perfectly and was really easy, plus it was great value for money. We absolutely loved Coona Mudbrick Cottage and will definitely be back!
