Positive: The property suited our needs for a place to sleep and eat. The owners were attentive and communicated efficiently regarding our issues which were resolved quickly
Negative: We were surprised on arrival to find the chalet located at the bottom of a very steep hill, making access with luggage difficult. The daily walk in and out was tiring even for a relatively fit family. Had there been snow, access would have been almost impossible. While the property is advertised as ski-in/ski-out, this only applies with significant snowfall, which was not the case during our stay. The alternative access route was via a long road serviced by a bus, but the timings were inconvenient for our arrival and departure. We arrived as a group of six for Christmas and were disappointed that there were no Christmas decorations that we had previously communicated about prior to our arrival and by the layout of the chalet, which differs from the online photos and would benefit from being updated. The lounge had only one sofa, comfortably seating three people, and there was no upstairs sofa as advertised. Overall, the facilities would not comfortably accommodate a group of 10 adults. Although this is a self-catering chalet, we would have expected some basic essentials on arrival—particularly given a hospitality background—rather than just a single toilet roll for the entire property. Overall, the chalet is suitable if you are simply looking for a place to sleep, but it would benefit from some care and attention, as well as more accurate advertising, to ensure guest expectations are properly met.
