Positive: The property was as good, or better, than described on the Bookings website. It was immaculately clean with a welcome bottle of bubbly on arrival. The swimming pool was the main reason that we made this booking, and with the temperature at 33/34c every day, bathed in sunshine, we used the pool frequently to help keep us cool. The facilities were excellent. The patio at the rear of the Villa had a lovely BBQ and astroturf area, which was perfect for relaxing at night. The views of the town, beach and marina from the pool and balconies were second to none. Absolutely stunning. Facilities inside the Villa were excellent. Superb cooking and food storage facilities, very good air conditioning, and a Smart TV for catching up with the news. Overall, a very enjoyable holiday in a lovely peaceful town, with good links to public transport, taxis and amenities.
Negative: The walk back from the town up the hill to the Villa became a little exhausting after a while, especially when carrying shopping, and the 41 steps from the road to the Villa entrance were a challenge at times, but this was not the fault of the Villa owners, but just something to be aware of if you have mobility issues, or if you are getting on in years. Not so much a 'didn't like' .. more of a lesson learned. If we came back to this Villa, I would definitely hire a car. There are only so many times you want to visit the same bars, restaurants and shops in the town. To see the island and to visit some of the main attractions on Menorca, you will need to hire a car.
Summary: Excellent stay in a lovely peaceful town.
