Positive: INCREDIBLY hospitable hosts! They invited us personally to a celebration of the new chimney, it was so quaint and homely. The style of the house is old, but there were so many little details that were nice. The furniture seemed all more antique, solid wooden breakfast bench - the breakfast was most if not all sourced locally (also from the back garden, with homemade jam and fruits). We were able to stay with our dog (who was welcome to go to the back garden, which looks like it is amazing to sit outside in the spring/summer... we stayed around Christmas), the host's cocker spaniel was cautiously friendly with our dog, the cat wasn't a huge fan. We would definitely love to stay here again during a different season!
Negative: I wish I was more fluent in French so we could have communicated freely! I also wasn't bold enough to ask for the WiFi password, it would have been cool to have that available in the room or with a QR code or something. The streets are super narrow (and unfortunately the surrounding area flooded) so getting there at night / parking was quite stressful.
Summary: Incredible hosts, quaint stay in a cute French town!
