Positive: We had a wonderful one-week stay at Ashansa Lagoon Resort in Tangalle with our family of 3 adults and 5 children. The location is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the peaceful lagoon, with Rekawa Beach just a 5-minute walk away. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the nearby Turtle Rekawa Watch, where we were lucky enough to see baby turtles hatching as well as a large turtle laying her eggs – an unforgettable experience. The hotel was also visited by many peacocks, lizards and even a big family of monkeys . There is a great selection of restaurants within walking distance, and Tangalle town is only a short drive away if you want even more dining options. Our host, Lakshithaya, made our stay extra special. He was incredibly welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Every morning he prepared a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade juices, omelettes and traditional Sri Lankan dishes, which we looked forward to each day. As we visited during the low season, we had the whole resort to ourselves, making it even more peaceful and relaxing. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend Ashansa Lagoon Resort to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly getaway in a beautiful setting. We would happily stay here again!
