Positive: We loved the location and view from the home. It had lots of room and comfortable furniture.
Negative: I don't even know where to start. I guess with the amount of spiders. They were everywhere! It's what we first noticed upon entering the home. After that, it was how dirty everything was. The banister was so filthy you could barely tell it was supposed to be white. Dog hair was everywhere. The floors had hair and dirt everywhere, so I went to grab a vacuum, and they were so full of hair and filthy. I cleaned one out and vacuumed the floors. Something I shouldn't have to do. The drawer in the bathroom had pubic hair in it. We found a half smoked cigar on the deck. Luckily, we found it before my 2 year old ate it. There was a tooth pick on the floor in the living room, a hanger under the couch. We couldn't even turn the ceiling fans on due to the amount of dust and dirt on them. It was horrible having to clean a vacation home prior to letting my toddler roam around. Also, the "child safety" features, such as the gate at the top of the stairs and the gate outside, didn't latch. It's super easy for a toddler to open and leave. The one at the top of the stairs was also coming off the wall. We just kept the toddler away from that area completely. When I let vacasa know about the state of the house. The only option they gave was to send someone right then to clean. We had just unpacked and did not want strangers in the home with us. When we declined that, they just asked if there was anything else they could help us with. No refund of the cleaning deposit or discount on our next booking. Nothing. I paid in full in advance with booking.com, and vacasas app is stating I now owe $491 more. When I contacted them, they just said to ask booking.com. yet the booking.com website says it's paid. Super sketchy.....
