Positive: Location was literally perfect in the northern quarter in the midst of things. I liked the shower, the bathroom was nice and thank god the towel rail was left on. The kitchen was well equipped with a small coffee machine, which is a nice touch. Hair dryer always good, full length mirror very useful! Fridge and oven!
Negative: There was a bit of noise, as it is central, including some intense dance music around mid-morning. The sofa is very narrow and hard, so it was uncomfortable when watching TV. It would have been nice to add a lamp or two; the overhead lights give it a cold feel. I also found it a bit cold at times, but I couldn't see how to turn on the radiators in any rooms except the one that was already on in the bathroom. The bath towels were extremely small, so a bath sheet would be much nicer. It would also be nicer to get more than 4 tea bags for 2 nights. The lights on the smoke detector on the ceiling disturbed my sleep a bit as it shone bright above the bed, and the pillows were a bit squishy. Maybe too many cushions on the bed, not enough on the sofa. The blankets were useful, but I noticed one was dirty.
Summary: Great location, good facilities, some warmer touches would be nice but overall did the trick. xxx
