Positive: We've stayed at a different cabin before and really enjoy staying at Mullacott Park. The cabin had almost everything we needed (cheese grater, soap and washing up liquid were the only things we didn't have). The sheets were so soft. The cabin was spacious and cosy when it rained. All other cabins were quiet so it was a very peaceful location. The restaurant next door has a take away option so we also enjoyed food from there on our last night as we packed the suitcases. I was pleasantly surprised there was decaf tea (as well as normal tea and sugar) in the cupboard already!
Negative: The single beds were uncomfortable with the springs and my nine year old complained she couldn't fall asleep and had to position herself so she was in-between two springs. A hand towel per person would have been good as we only had one small bath towel each. The oven didn't have instructions so we arrived after 5pm and wanted to cook food for the children but couldn't get the oven to work. It's a gas oven! Simple instructions would have saved stress and having to contact the maintenance team (they were fantastic at helping us). Some of the kitchen equipment/crockery were dirty. Bathrooms were clean but could use some mould and mildew remover around the grouting and shower hose for the grime that builds up over time.
