Summary: The home is lovely and we had plenty of space for our family of 11 adults. All the beds were comfy and the kitchen was spacious and fairly well stocked for cooking meals for this many people. We did go out and buy a couple of sharp knives and some extra cutting boards. It rained during our stay and the sky lights in the rec room leaked, but we were there over the Christmas holiday, and I’m sure it was next to impossible to get someone out to fix the leaks. We just put out bowls to catch the water and moved some of the furniture out of the way. I was a bit bothered by the fact that a hot tub was advertised when we booked the home, but there was no hot tub when we arrived. Also, renters should be aware that the owner’s of the home will be living in the basement while you are there. This was a surprise to us, and made us feel that we had to be quieter in the evenings so as not to disturb them. This is information that should have been forthcoming prior to booking. There are also multiple cameras in the home, which made us feel we were being watched…perhaps not, but this, too, should have been communicated. We always treat rental homes with the respect they deserve. I am aware that perhaps others do not do so, but it was disconcerting to feel that we were being monitored whether we were or not. Again, these things need to be communicated up front prior to booking, which would have allowed an informed decision on our part.Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
