Summary: We had a wonderful 2 weeks in July 2025 here. The house is very generously sized, modern and clean. It has been renovated by the owners and has some lovely retained details from the original barn. The house is situated along a private driveway in the middle of the owners farmland and feels very tranquil and secluded, there are beautiful views out across the fields. The owners house and the other rental property are nearby but arranged so they do not overlook each other. Around the houses is the large heated pool, lovely pool house, games barn and orchard which we could pick fresh fruit from. Our children loved having so much space to safely roam free.The owners were so welcoming and hosted drinks one evening which was lovely to hear more about the farm and chance to ask about recommendations for things to do in the area.We found plenty of things to do within a 45min drive ; local walks, cycles along the riverside, castles, attractive towns, canoeing. It has less of the big tourist attractions than Sarlat-la-Caneda to the east (which we stayed last year) but as a result the places we visited were relatively quiet and unspoilt.
