Positive: The host Santina made us feel at home immediately. She also cooked for us several times during our stay, which was always extremely delicious and for a reasonable price as well. Due to a misunderstanding (my boyfriend who had booked the room thought it came with a washing machine) she even helped us do our laundry in her own washing machine, also reasonable prices. The room was very clean with an excellent bathroom and mattress. Theres a shared garden. The location is perfect right in between Etna, Taormina and Catania.
Negative: You should keep in mind that the hostess only speaks Italian. Although I do speak some Italian, I’m not fluent and we had some miscommunications along the way. However, it is very common in all of Sicily that people don’t speak English, so be prepared for that anywhere you go.
Summary: Nice room and great host, conveniently located.
