There is a relatively steep gravel drive (~100 yards long) that leads to our driveway. Under normal circumstances, this road can be driven in a typical passenger vehicle (many guests arrive in sedans). If heavy rains have occurred, the gravel can become rutted, making it more challenging. For that reason, we like to recommend a truck or SUV.
*Neighborhood*
Our cabin is located in a neighborhood with other cabins. We are situated on a quiet wooded lot, but there are other cabins nearby, including a shared driveway with our cabin.

While our home has beds for up to 8 people, it is a smaller cabin (~1,300 square feet), and it will get tight if the living room pull-out is used.
*Firewood*
If you'd like to use the wood-burning fireplace or outside fire pit, please plan to bring a couple of bundles of wood. The Home Depot in town (~5 miles from the cabin) carries small bundles of dry wood that work great.
*Pets*
We know that pets are part of the family. Please note that we do charge a $50 per pet fee to compensate our cleaning team for the additional work needed to clean up after our furry friends. Indicate that you are bringing a pet when you book and the fee will be automatically applied.

-Take the kids to visit Mercier orchards (10 min drive) to pick apples or take a tractor tour

-Eat and shop in downtown Blue Ridge

Fur babies are part of the family too and we welcome up to two dogs per stay. We have extra bowls for food and water on the property. PLEASE do not allow dogs on the beds or furniture. If pets cause damage or stains, we will charge a damage fee.
There are other neighbors in the general area, but it is a quiet neighborhood and the home is surrounded by trees. The neighborhood has plenty of gravel roads and trails to hike and explore.
Please do not leave trash outside. This home is in the woods and there is no shortage of wildlife, including black bears, that will come snooping if they smell garbage. We provide a bear-resistant trash can outside.
