About this space
This cozy studio is located in the historic Newbo District. Shops, restaurants and entertainment are all within walking distance. Alliant Energy Center, TCR, Paramount Theater, CSPS and the McGrath Ampitheater are all nearby. The Cedar Valley bike trail access is also just around the corner.

The loft is on the 2nd floor in a historic building above a small shop. The front room is bright and sunny with room darkening blinds and curtains. There is a queen bed and sleeper sofa in this space. Linens for the sleeper sofas are available upon request. Full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry are in the space. A sound machine and ear plugs are available in case you are ready to settle in and the live music nearby is still playing. The stairway is narrow and fairly steep but there is a handrail and it is well lit. Everything you need for a weekend or a longer stay. Bike storage in the lower level entrance available upon request.

Summary: Everything about the White Elephant Loft was just as described. Roomy, comfortable and nicely “equipped”. Thoughtful that the description includes a photo of the stairs going up to the loft as they are typical of an old, restored property. Interesting neighborhood with nice restaurants nearby. Very prompt response from the host to my questions. Would definitely recommend this to visitors to Cedar Rapids.
