Seahorse Cottage is a cheerful, light-filled, immaculately clean cottage that you will love to call your home away from home. Ideally located in downtown Seward: 1 block from the bay and waterfront playground, 1/2 block from library, 1.5 blocks from post office, and 3 blocks from the Alaska SeaLife Center. Fantastic views of Resurrection Bay. Watch the sun come up over Mt. Alice while you enjoy your cup of coffee from the back deck, and catch the sun's last rays from the living room couch.
We have everything you need to feel right at home, whether it's for one night or a couple of weeks. 2 bedrooms- queen bed in one, and twin bunk beds in the other. The living room couch is a high-quality L.L. Bean futon that is quite comfortable (!). Sleeps six. Fully stocked kitchen (including crock-pot, vita-mix blender, bread machine, & waffle maker) with a large fridge and freezer for fish you catch. Front-loading washer and dryer. On-demand hot water (a wonderful thing!). More books than you'd be able to read in a year. Smart TV with DVD player. Wifi. Board games and puzzles. Linens and extras. Basic toiletries. Hairdryer. Patio furniture, fire pit, even raspberries available to pick in August. If you have small children, let us know in advance, and we will stock the second bedroom with some toys for them. If you have any special requests during your stay, let us know, and we will do our best to fill them!

Summary: We LOVED this cottage in Seward. It was clean, comfortable, and in walking distance to the waterfront and downtown. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and appreciated being able to do laundry in the nice washer and dryer. The table with the view of the mountains we fabulous - we enjoyed a nice dinner of salmon we caught fishing while looking at the view! It was convenient to walk to the downtown for ice cream, a beer at the Seward Brewing Co (also great pizza there), the Sea Life Center, and souvenir shopping. We like the food truck with the mini sugared donuts and hot chocolate in town too. The house is a short drive to the marina and grocery store. We took a fantastic 6 hour fjords tour with Major Marine which I recommend. I'd come back to Seward and this house in a second. We all loved it!
