Sea Garden is snuggled in between a classic Sea Ranch hedgerow and the wild ocean meadow. Relaxing and gathering is the purpose here, with the open living space flanked by both decks and surrounded by sleeping and study rooms. Youll want to curl up on the long window seat in the cozy family room, bask in the warmth from the glowing Danish fireplace, or play cards around the sunny dining table.
The tall south-facing windows look out on the spacious deck with a hot tub, flowering plants, BBQ grill and an umbrella table for outdoor meals. Then theres a north-facing deck with inspiring meadow, ocean, and coastline views where you'll stake a claim to the seats and watch nature on display.
The kitchen is open to the living space, and offers a gas range, dishwasher and all you'll need for your Sea Garden meals.
The roomy master bedroom has a king bed, comfortable seating, slider to the outdoors. The full en suite bathroom is "sunken" with a few steps down from the bedroom level. The bathroom has a walk in shower and soaking tub.
The guest bedroom has a queen bed and window seat, and the nearby bathroom has a large shower. There is a half-bath just off the laundry room for easy access from the living space.
After easy walks to Pebble Beach or Black Point Beachor to the Moonraker poolyou can relax outdoors in the hot tub or bathe in the master bathroom, with its tea for two tub and big windows facing the garden.

Summary: 3 stars because house itself is great, but there is a mouse problem and the house cleaners didn't finish cleaning in between visitors. The bigger concern was mice. First thing we noticed when we stepped inside was a mouse trap, and throughout the house there were about two dozen, all set, but with no bait - apparently just for show, not many mice are going to be caught in an un-baited spring trap. More likely to get a kids finger or toe. And if one was caught, I guess they expect the guest to take care of it? When we climbed up to the loft (which was a cool space) we found that the cleaners hadn't swept up there and it was covered in sand from the prior visitors and quite a bit of mouse poop. So the mice are definitely there. We swept the loft and accumulated an impressive amount of dirt. At bedtime we realized none of the beds were made. We found sheets and made the beds. Not sure if that was on purpose or not, they left sheets with towels almost like they meant to leave the beds unmade, but I've never seen it done this way in any other vacation rental. Finally, the house is also infested with potato bugs. They don't really gross me out, but each morning we found about 10 new dead ones in the bathroom and throughout the day they were seen all around the house. Seems to me they should take care of the mice and insects before renting this to people for this much money and the "cleaning fee" apparently only covers a partial clean.
