Summary: DeHart Cabin was perfect for our stay. We made a last minute decision to take a motorcycle ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and wanted to stay close. Lucky us this gem was available. We trailered the motorcycle and were able to also bring Piper (our Labrador retriever). The driveway was a little sketchy on the motorcycle but doable for the experienced rider. Piper enjoyed playing catch on the meadow. We spent a lot of time on the front porch watching the deer and listening to the turkey while enjoying local beer and a cocktail. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable. We also brought our electric bikes and rode up to the Hilltop to enjoy the labyrinth. Spent a morning riding part of nearby Chessie Nature Trail. We had all kinds of weather; sunny, foggy, thunderstorm... it was a perfect stay. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found this cabin and be able to experience all it had to offer.
