Located in Chugiak, we are 27 miles from Anchorage International Airport and a 5 mile, 10-minute drive into Eagle River where you will find grocery stores, coffee shops, and several restaurants. A paved bike path will also take you along the Old Glenn Highway and into Eagle River.
Check out seven different trailheads with trails leading into the Chugach Mountains in Eagle River and Chugiak. Rent kayaks, bikes, hike, or just enjoy the scenery at beautiful, glacially fed, Eklutna Lake. Take a helicopter adventure tour or go on a guided ATV trip to the Knik Glacier. Check out Hatcher Pass historical park or hike to one of the stunning alpine lakes in the Talkeetna Mountains.
We chose our house because of the view and the windows. We love watching the changing light, how it is reflected off the mountains and the water. The sun in Alaska travels horizontally across the horizon in summer and the sunsets last for hours. We are excited to share our home and the beautiful Alaska surroundings with you while we are out traveling this summer!
