Positive: - The food is homely and can be attuned to your tastes and requirement. You can catch your own fish at the ponds on the proerty, it doesn't get fresher than that. And the day we left aunty made us aloo pooris for breakfast and there was paranthas one say for dinnet. We've been here for 3 weeks now so we missed apna home food thoda so Helen and Rachel aunty will surely be able to rustle up whatever your tastebuds yearn. -Its just what we were looking for in terms of peace and quiet. It's like a home away from home. -Aunty Rachel is the best is all I can say. You have too come, sit with her and then you'll get what I mean. One can't really put it in words. -The dogs (Milo and Oreo) were the perfect co habitants for me. They'd wait for me outside my door at 5 in the morning. I know I'll miss them. - Its the perfect distnace from Kochi and Allepey and Kumarakom and Kottayam and Marari and a bunch of other places so this makes a perfect base location to discover the area around. - The property purely from an aesthetical point of view is extremely beautiful. Its littered with painitngs, photographs, furniture from a time gone by; a life lived in. This gives it a very unique personal and familiar touch. It has ponds and if you're into plants and flowers like my wife is you'll love it. -The beach is literally 2 minutes away and having been to Allepey and Marari this was still my favourite one. There's a light house and fishing boats/nets another stone's throw away. Its a real community and not something out of a social media post. There's churches and mandirs if you're into that. I'd suggest if you're fed up of the city and want to give your mind and soul ann elixir to refresh Palliath House is definately worth your time.
Negative: The payment machine (POS) wasn't functioning which could have been an issue for some guests.
