Positive: The location is simply amazing- such a beautiful spot right on water. Was great to be able to enter at 1.pm
Negative: The key issue was that the rooms were like ovens to sleep in. There were ceiling fans but because there were no screens on windows or doors you could not open them to allow a breeze in. Was actually stifling. Realise air con is an expensive addition but the installation of screens would certainly make a huge difference. A set of windows in the end room were actually rusted shut but realise you get that being so close to ocean- again though a simple maintenance solution. For the cost of $500 per night you would consider this a given. We did text Stradbroke Island property managers with a question about lights but received no reply. The cost for cleaning seems exorbitant- over $400.
Summary: A great place for making wonderful family memories.
