This unique apartment has a style all its own. Featuring rustic boho decor, Moonville Getaway in Hocking Hills Ohio is the perfect escape into nature. This space has everything you need to enjoy your stay, with a King Sized Bed, small kitchenette, and full bathroom with a standup shower.
This is a unique find in the Hocking Hills, OH area nestled in the small town of Zaleski, population 223. Moonville Getaway is just 15 minutes away from the infamous Moonville Tunnel (our name sake), 6 mins from Lake Hope State Park, and 30 mins from Hocking Hills State Park.
Moonville Getaway is an efficiency style apartment that is attached to a two car garage on the property. It features a luxurious king bed with beautiful artwork hanging above the bedframe. The night stands have built in outlets and USB plugs and one small sound machine clock for your sleeping needs after a fun day exploring the area. Moonville Getaway also has a full bathroom with a large shower and blow dryer.
The open concept space leads right into the Kitchenette which feature a tall mini fridge/freezer combo with ice trays and water filter pitcher. There is a two person dining table that can be made to be larger if you need extra room for a laptop. The kitchen has a stocked coffee bar, small electric stove top with cookware, and a toaster.
Moonville Getaway also has a small bench for shoe or other storage. Above the 6 drawer dresser is a smart TV so you can login to your favorite streaming app account and enjoy a show. There is also high speed WiFi on the entire property so you can stay connected since cell phone service isn't the best in the Hocking Hills area. Finally there is a large armoire to hang clothes, with an iron and table top ironing board, and an extra blanket!
Currently the back door is kept locked as we are in process of constructing a small deck that leads out to a patio.
This home sits on a dead-end road with minimal traffic on 3.5 acres of land with beautiful views of our neighbors pond, woods, and grass field. The apartment is also on the same property with our other short term rental house called Moonville Manor (about a one minute walk away) and our wedding venue Forget Me Knot (viewed down the hill). Yes, we host weddings on the property which is perfect for the romance lover in us all. Weddings can get loud and can be heard from the house, but outdoor music stops at 9pm and all music ends by 11pm from the venue. We will disclose if any weddings are booked during the time you would like to stay, but last minute weddings and events can and do come in.
We love the country feel of our property in the ATV friendly town of Zaleski. We also love our neighbor’s farm animals including horses and cows. Our neighbor’s dog Jack Jack loves to come say hi to our visitors and maybe you will get lucky and see new mama dog Ruby and her pup Baby Jack. Oh and did I mention the neighbor’s two baby goats that like to occasionally come visit plus her gaggle of roosters and chickens that like to come say hi? If you find an egg, it’s yours to keep!
We cannot wait for you to experience country living at our small piece of Hocking Hills Paradise.
