Summary: Was honestly a little shocked at the state of the place given the pricing. We weren’t able to check in at 4p as stated on the listing. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way so luckily I was very familiar with the friend I stayed with. Some panel fell off the wall in the middle of the night which startled us. If you are arriving or leaving by Fiumelatte station, be aware there are multiple levels of cobblestone stairs you will trek. The floors were a bit dusty/dirty and there was a repetitive sound that drove us crazy, not sure if it was a leak or what. Only one of the AC remotes worked which luckily wasn’t an issue for us. Pro’s were that the hosts were fairly responsive, pillows were comfortable, and the view was beautiful. The walk to Varenna is pleasant. Would not stay here again at the current price.
