Positive: The property is not a 2 bedroom apartment. It has 2 bedrooms that are independent on the 2d story ( primo piano in Italy) of a charming house smack in downtown bolsena. That was great. It also has a nice balcony where we had some instant coffee we prepared with the tea kettle available (no kitchen.) The owner was very helpful trying to help find parking up the hill ( no parking on site, only street parking) so even though many things did not match the description of the property when we booked, we had to make it “work” and adapt as booking.com offered no alternate solution and no refunds. We made it work, and he was very apologetic and said he would contact booking to correct these mistakes. Other than that, I give it a solid 7 because the location downtown was something we enjoyed a lot.
Negative: There was no parking on site, just street parking up a hill with luck. There was no apartment, just 2 independent bedrooms ideal for a family with 3 kids. There was no kitchen, just a water boiler. There was no solution but to adapt and be sad for all our grocery purchased as booking offered no help when we informed them of these discrepancies with the listing. The owner also tried contacting booking as he said the error was on their side so I hope he gets this corrected for future guests.
Summary: Centrally located and connected 2 bedrooms in downtown Bolsena. Great for visiting town and the region.
