Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: L'Insolite is owned by located above the tasting room of the Lagache Champagne House, in a small village with several other excellent Champagne producers. There are marvelous walks through the vineyards and hills nearby, and Epernay is a very short drive, or by a local bus. The very knowledgeable, lovely, and gracious Madame Lagache offers tastings of her excellent Champagnes, and excellent advice on the area. There is a wonderful bakery and a fine butchery just a few steps away, and the apartment's kitchen facilities allow home cooking for those who wish.

Summary: Quiet and comfortable stay in a fine Champagne village.....
