Penvénan has one of the most beautiful coasts of Brittany and the beauty of its seascape dotted with small islands makes it a real paradise. Its bay, renowned for its safety, allows all nautical joys (sailing school from the age of 8 years) and the beach club for the little ones. Chapels, calvaries, manors, so many curiosities to discover by using the many hiking trails from the inside. On the sea side, from Port Blanc to Buguèlès, the seascapes are linked together, each one more beautiful than the other, allowing you to discover the many islets by the sea and the superb Buguèlès tide mill.
The use of the tide to operate a mill seems to date back to the 12th century. There are many of them along the Breton coast. The mill is placed in the middle of a dike with two apertures.
