COMFORT AND AMBIANCE - you can feel the warmth of the wood burning stove and see the beauty of the dancing flames through the glass window. Due to the new clearstory windows located at the top of the exposed beam ceiling natural sunlight fills each room with daytime brightness and sparkle. The shade of the pine trees always keeps the temperature in the cabin perfect.
BEAUTY AND CLEANLINESS - Find everything you need in the full kitchen to prepare your favorite meals. Dine on the pine kitchen table or out on the shaded porch. The bathroom has recently been remodeled, new entry addition and the owner has refinished most of the woodwork throughout the cabin and added many unique handcrafted touches. For your convenience find a washer and dryer. Linens are provided. Watch the new flat screen television, enjoy movies or listen to music with the cabin's new digital surround-sound system.
This cabin is comfortable, very clean, full of natural light from the many windows, has simple tasteful decorating and is well-maintained. While relaxing on the shaded porch watch the deer and the birds and see the sunset over Mesa Verde in the distance.
At an elevation of 7,820 feet the shade of the tall pines makes for cool evenings and comfortable days. The cabin is nestled on 3 forested acres of Ponderosa Pines and Gambel's Oak in beautiful Echo Basin, in the foothills of the La Plata Range of the San Juan Mountains. It is conveniently located right off a paved country road yet affords easy access to the boundary of the San Juan National Forest which is only a mile away.
