I am Hathaway, Bundanoon’s exquisite country cottage. My stunning grounds, beautiful garden views and picturesque landscape conifers provoke relaxation and imagination as you enter through my Australian hardwood gates and journey up my gravel path. My back deck, next to the dining room and sunroom is the centrepiece of your view, enveloped by manicured lawns and matured trees. I am Hathaway, only 5 minutes from Bundanoon’s Village.

ADDITIONAL RULES:
*As per the Short Term Legislation Act 2020 NSW, all guests are required to obey these rules. For extra guests/day visitors, we must be informed for liability purposes.
*This is a no-party property. We do not allow parties/events of any sort. The maximum amount of guests allowed to sleep in this property is SIX people, however, we do allow day visitors of up toTHREEpeople. No more than a maximum of NINEpeople are allowed in the property at any given time.
*Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.
*This home is a strictly no-smoking property. If any of our cleaners find any form of cigarette ash, butts or smell cigarettes in the apartment, we could issue a $500 fine.
*This is a domestic residence and we love our neighbours. We do not allow loitering or loud noise outside of the premises or inside of the premises. We ask for minimal noise especially after 9 pm.
*STRA Rules - By booking this home you automatically agree to all the STRA terms and conditions that are applicable to guests. You also agree that if you do break any of the house rules you will be asked to leave and no refund of the unused nightly rates will be returned.
*Check-in/Check-out - We cannot stress enough the importance of checking out on time. Our regular check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is prior to 10 am. If you wish to have an earlier check-in than 3 pm and we are able to accommodate your request, there may be an additional charge. If you check out later than 10 am, there will be an additional charge of $50.
THINGS TO KNOW:
*This property is suitable for babies or children and we have a highchair and travel cot, however, we do not supply the linen. Please BYO. The travel cot is in the bedroom wardrobe for you to set up when needed.
*Check-in details will be sent either the night before checking in, or the morning of check-in for security reasons.
* We only provide 1 set of keys for each stay. We do not have extra sets.
We are a company that does a lot of travelling so our best means of contact would be either through the app or please email us and my Team will respond as soon as possible!
Nestled in the hills of the Southern Highlands, the charming village of Bundanoon is a quaint hamlet with a distinct Scottish ambience. Explore tree-lined streets and historic sandstone buildings framed in cherry blossoms, follow bushwalking and cycling trails, and enjoy the spectacle of the Bundanoon Highland Gathering festival.
With dramatic waterfalls, abundant wildlife and spectacular escarpment lookouts, Morton National Park offers superb wilderness to explore, a stone’s throw from Bundanoon. Take in the beauty of Fairy Bower Falls on a one-hour loop walk through tranquil bushland or enjoy scenic views on the Lovers, Riverview and Mount Carnarvon walking tracks.
An evening visit to the magical Glow Worm Glen is a must-do, with hundreds of larvae of fungus gnats producing an iridescent light show at night. The best time to see the glowing larvae is December to February, with the walk there through lush bushland taking about an hour return. Don’t forget to bring a torch to light the path.
The undulating roads and trails winding through the national park are perfect for cycling. Explore the Bundanoon cycling route with picnic spots and rewarding views from lookouts along the way. You can hone your cycling skills with Wild Horizon Outdoor Tours , which offers mountain biking clinics, private lessons and adventure tours.
For a tiny village, Bundanoon offers plenty of choices for places to eat, with quality restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Linger over a traditional Italian long lunch at Bottega B Ristorante or stop in for a delicious gingerbread latte at the Potter’s Pantry. Visit The Bundanoon Hotel, a classic country pub built in 1922 and surrounded by superb gardens.
Bundanoon is a 2hr 15min drive from Sydney and just under two hours from Canberra. You can also catch a direct train from Sydney and the journey takes around two hours.
Access is via a lockbox. Check-in instructions will be given to you the night before check-in at 7pm.
My modern kitchen has all you can desire; fitted with a gas cooktop, oven and dishwasher. Dining and entertaining entice country hospitality at our designer glass and kane dining table, seating 6 comfortably. There are ample spaces to relax and immerse yourself in my peace and quiet. Winter is a cosy haven in front of my gas fireplace. I love wallpaper and interesting textures, which is why every room has it’s own unique flare. I am perfect for both Summer and Winter, as all bedrooms and living spaces are fitted with split system air-conditioning, keeping you warm on the chilly Winter nights, and cool and calm on those hot Summer days.
Survey the view of my expansive mature gardens from our lovely sunroom. Surrounded by glass and my mature gardens, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of champagne (which is supplied on arrival) or your favourite drink while reading your favourite book, or blog.
If work follows you to Hathaway, I have a cosy and comfortable desk space complete with fast speed Wi-Fi. You may feel like you are in your own little piece of paradise, however, you can connect to the world and the Smart Samsung Frame TV in the living room through my fast Wi-Fi.
