Positive: THREE CHEERS FOR THIS THREE-STAR HOTEL Hotel Merit more than lived up to our expectations and as is in the name ‘merits’ all the praise it deserves. When we say "More than lived up to our expectations" it means that they exceeded what we thought they would be, performing or delivering at a level significantly higher than what we anticipated; essentially, it was much better than we expected. The very first good impression was when we were greeted with warm welcoming smiles by three young well-dressed, well-mannered and well-trained reception staff and a bottle of water each in the hot Indian climate and even before paying for the room were taken up by the lift to see our room and satisfy ourselves that it was fine and meets our expectations. This good gesture of the hotel is something we have never experienced in all our so many globe-trotting years staying at different hotels around the world. This good gesture of showing the customers their rooms even before they have paid for the room shows how good the hotel is and how confident the hotel owners/ management must be that customers will definitely like their hotel and will meet their expectations. There is even an automatic shoe-shine machine just adjacent to the entrance and exit doors where customers before going out every day can get their shoes polished and shined automatically free of charge. This is also something we have never seen or experienced at any hotel in all our so many globe-trotting years staying at different hotels around the world. All in all it was a very pleasant stay here and we are glad to recommend this hotel to one and all.
