Villa Bardino enjoys breathtaking views over Lake Garda. Private, spacious and contemporary, this villa is perched on a sloping hillside and backed by a wooded rise. The pool, set in a sheltered spot and cocooned by field and forest, basks in sunlight for most of the day. The only possible distraction is an occasional hiker or horseman ambling along a leisurely mountain trail. Torri del Benaco, a picturesque lakeside resort town, is a six minute downhill drive away. Looking down from the front garden, one can see the rooftops of neighboring cottages belonging to a hotel complex, 60 yards away. Villa Bardino, on higher ground, enjoys better views and a more peaceful setting removed from the busy roads and tourist crowds. Inside, the space is uncluttered, airy, bright and furnished for easy living.
The upper level, open plan living, dining and kitchen area, is the one most used and requires 17 steps. Doors open directly into the garden to let in the views, and a fireplace warms the inside. The bedrooms have screened windows.
The lower level, accessed internally by a spiral stairway and externally from the pool and parking, is additional living space. Its bathroom and large kitchen are ideal for pool users. Maid service may be requested when booking.
The villa is in the hamlet of Albisano with a church, the nearby hotel and a pizzeria in 500 metres, while Torri del Benaco, by road is three kms downhill. Coming from town, the last 200 metres are an unpaved, steeply inclining driveway.
