The Space:
Our spacious two-bedroom suite features modern amenities like soaring ceilings, quartz countertops, and central air conditioning. This suite has carefully maintained a piece of the warehouses historic past by highlighting its original brick and timber work. The kitchen is adorned with stainless steel appliances, a Keurig coffee maker, and basic cookware to cook simple meals for a cozy night in! There is even free Wifi!
There are two sets of stairs leading to the Suite. The first set of stairs consists of 13 steps, and the second set of stairs consists of 12 steps. Please not that the walls of the bedrooms do not go all the way up to the ceiling.
A washer and dryer are also available inside the apartment for your convenience. Our studio and 1 bedroom stays come standard with 3 towels and washcloths and our 2 bedroom stays come with 4 each. There is one space in the building’s parking lot included with this stay.
Anything in the apartment is yours to use. Make yourself at home once you arrive. While traditional cable TV is not included in your stay, we do provide Roku TV's with apps like Netflix, Prime, Hulu, and more! Feel free to use these services with your own login and enjoy!
Guest Access:
You can access the building anytime after 4pm by using the lockbox to obtain the keys. We ask that you respect our home and the quiet hours of the community. Our home is not baby-proofed, and may not be ideal for families with very small children, however, children are welcome at your own discretion.
The Neighborhood:
Our beautiful suite is located in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis, also known as the North Loop. The building originally served as a loading station for freight cars, and housed everything from carriages and buggies to old washing machines and farming equipment. This area is a vibrant neighborhood known for its cool start-up vibe, innovative restaurants, hip bars and gay nightspots. The North Loop is named for a trolly line from the late 1800s. This was the commercial hub of Minneapolis. Between the late 1880s to the early 1930s, it became a bustling manufacturing and distribution center. Converted warehouses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries contain indie fashion and design shops, and the Minneapolis Farmers Market sells produce, locally made snacks, and candy. As of 2020, the North Loop was the fastest growing neighborhood in Minnesota. Forbes Magazine named the North Loop “One of America’s best hipster neighborhoods”.
Whether it's work or play, this is the perfect location in Minneapolis. Are you a baseball fan? If so, swing on over to Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins. Target Field is a terrific outdoor venue and one of the neighborhood’s best attractions. Baseball not your thing? Then Bounce on over to Target Center Arena and see the Minnesota Timberwolves play basketball. While you are in the area you can also catch a Minnesota Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Getting Around:
You'll never be far from where you need to be. Already got wheels? Driving by car through Minneapolis makes it easy to travel from spot to spot. The compact city’s transit system with light rail and buses runs regularly, and can take you anywhere throughout the city. North Loop has excellent public transportation; a convenient and inexpensive way to get around, with fares ranging from $2 to $3.25, depending on time of day. You can pay bus fares in exact change in coins and bills, with a Go-To Card or with the Metro Transit app. Metro Transit offers fast, frequent service to both downtowns, Mall of America and hundreds of other popular attractions. The Metro Blue Line is a 12-mile light rail line in Hennepin County that extends from downtown Minneapolis to the southern suburb of Bloomington. Summary: We stayed here for about 10 days...the location was perfect for the two of us. My husband could use the spare bedroom to work during the day. It would work for a larger group for a smaller number of days with the single bathroom. The location is great if you want to be near the action but not in it. We walked to restaurants every night but it was still quiet near the unit. Parking was really easy and the check-in/check-out process was seamless.
